Powderfinger playing after Silverchair
I must say that concert was pretty good, even the cover band for them was good for an unknown. Was $92 too much? Hmm nah, wouldn't have liked to be paying anymore though without being a hardcore fan.
Couple of small gripes, i don't think i want to see another 'foot pedal solo' again, maybe if Daniel Johns had of just done a little foot pedal fiddle just to show he was tricky instead of a full on get down on ya guts for 5 minutes fucking with the reverb knob on his foot pedal until you want to ram it up his arse. Apart from that and continuously asking the crowd for a shout. "Gimme a shout!, gimme 2 shouts, gimme 1 shout, gimme 3 shouts" GET ON WITH IT ALREADY!!!! Other then that the show as a whole got a thumbs up from Ron.
At one stage someone close to the stage told Daniel (lead singer of Silverchair) to shut up and get on with the music so it wasnt just me who was getting irritated with the time wasting.
I totally loved the Powderfinger stint, Dallas thought that they had too many ballads in the mix but i would rather that than Daniel's guitar foot pedal.
Joining me was Dallas, Quintin, Damien, Steve and Lisa and we all liked the concert on the whole. |
