Today Noel and Amy and I went to the range to let off a few rounds. Noel organized a 3pm start because the majority of shooters have left by then and we can have more freedom to walk on the range at that time of day. After the sign-in process we got straight to business.
Ken English was sharing the range with us, he told us that he had come to the range to shoot off all his old ammo so he offered Noel, Amy and myself the opportunity to fire the handguns that he had brought to the range.
We shot off 300 rounds out of Noel's Glock and about mag or two each for Ken's guns. At 40c per round, it's not exactly the cheapest hobby you could find but hey, you get to shoot shit.

This is Noel holding Ken’s revolver. Ken had a fair bit of work done on his guns to make the triggers require little pressure to fire. Ken told me that I should pick the empty 1911 and get a feel for the trigger first before I fire it so that there are no surprises. Ken’s ammo had all been reloaded to have less kick, he claims that reducing the powder in each load along with a touchy trigger improves accuracy when sport shooting. I found that both of Ken’s guns were really easy to hold and if I had to rapid fire either of them I feel that I could keep a reasonable grouping.

Thats my group
Noel’s Glock is new and has had no work done to it, he is also using factory rounds which requires a firm grip to keep the gun straight for a higher cycle rate. It has been quite a while since I had shot a pistol, so I was fairly happy with my group. I think the targets were set for 15m (Noel correct me if I’m wrong on that one). The last time I shot on this range, I used a .22 sporting pistol of some sort and a Colt 45 with a short grip. They belonged to a friend of a friend. I remember that both pistols were shit to use because the .22 had a shaped grip for left hand and the Colt 45 had enough kick to make the pistol almost jump out of your hand. The grip was so short that my little finger didn’t touch the grip. Previous to that, I shot a 9mm Browning in about 1992.
